    September Bake Club Challenge and Giveaway

    Thank you to everyone who participated in last month’s Bake Club Challenge! All your photos of warm, bubbly peach cobbler made me drool! 

    The winner of last month’s challenge is Brennah, a 14 year old baker from Colorado! ♥️ Brennah jumped into the Bake Club a few month's ago with enthusiasm and has not only made every challenge recipe since she joined, she's made a handful of other difficult recipes with remarkable success.     let’s talk about this month’s challenge recipe…

    Apple Cake (or cupcakes) with Cider Buttercream and Dark Chocolate Ganache

    This Apple cake is absolutely bursting with warm apple flavor thanks to concentrated Apple Cider Syrup, shredded sour apples, and a touch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Apple Cider Buttercream delivers even more apple flavor and a thick, velvety layer of Dark Chocolate Ganache covers the cake with a blanket of bittersweet luxury.

    The combination of flavors in this cake is one of my all time favorites - sweet and tart, fruity and chocolaty, fluffy and creamy. It's completely up to you whether you make the cake or cupcakes. And, while decorating your cake with apple roses is NOT required to enter this month's challenge, I do hope you'll try them. I've included step-by-step instructions in the recipe post and they are MUCH easier than you might think.

    How to participate in the bake club

    #1. Sign up to join the bake club

    You’ll receive an email each month when a new recipe challenge and prize is announced. This is also how I’ll know how to contact you if you win.

    When you sign up for the Bake Club, you’ll be required to put in your name and email address. If you’re selected as the winner, I’ll send you an email and ask you where to send your prize.

    (If you’ve signed up in the past, you’re golden. It's not necissary to sign up every month.)

    #2. bake this month's challenge and show it off!

    You have three options for entering the giveaway:

    1. Snap a picture of your Apple Cake or Cupcakes and post it to Instagram, tagging it with #OfBatterAndDoughBakeClub.
    2. OR, upload your photo to the Of Batter and Dough Facebook Page.
    3. OR, send your photo to me in an email: rebecca@ofbatteranddough.com.

    By sharing your photo you’ll be automatically entered to win this month’s prize. Bake the challenge recipe and submit your photo before October 1st.
