Bake something fun, share it with the world, and you could win a beautiful cake turntable and stand
Thank you to everyone who participated in last month's bake club challenge and baked up a Carrot Cake Layer Cake or Cupcakes! I was especially happy to receive several messages, like this one from Kelly, from people who don't normally like carrot cake...
"I am not usually a fan of carrot cake, but oh my yum. I decided to make them because they were the monthly bake challenge and I’ve never made them before. I’m so glad I decided to because they were delicious and a definite crowd pleaser. The caramel rum sauce was amazing and put the carrot cake over the top. I have leftover caramel rum sauce that I’m going to dipping some apples into!!"
The winner of the October challenge is Melissa from Saint Joseph Michigan.
Let's talk about this month's challenge recipe...
I've been making these dinner rolls for so many years that they are simply known as those rolls.
"Will you make those rolls?"
"I thought we'd have those rolls."
We all know what rolls we're talking about.
The rolls are incredibly soft and pillowy, slightly sweet, and have the perfect amount of chew and rich buttery flavor. In a perfect world, I'd eat them with dinner every single night. As it is, I make them for pretty much everything that can remotely be considered a special occasion and several times of year just because.
I hope you love them as much as we do. ♥️
The November Bake Club Prize!
Cake Decorating Turntable and Stand
I love this cake decorating turntable because it's beautiful enough to be used as a cake stand after the cake has been decorated. The cake stand base comes in blue (my favorite), pink, purple, or yellow. If you're the winner of this month's challenge, you get to choose the color.
Already own a cake decorating turntable and don't need another? If you’re this month’s winner, just let me know and I’ll send over some other options!
You’ll receive an email each month when a new recipe challenge and prize is announced. This is also how I’ll know how to contact you if you win. When you sign up for the Bake Club, you’ll be required to put in your name and email address. If you’re selected as the winner, I’ll send you an email and ask you where to send your prize. I bought yeast last year during thanksgiving, is it still good?
Rebecca Blackwell says
Hard to say. Test it before you use it - Pour about 1/2 cup of the milk in a small bowl and heat it until it's slightly warm - not more than 100 degrees. Whisk in the yeast and wait 5 minutes. If the yeast is all foamy and creamy, it's fine and you can just proceed with the recipe. If this doesn't happen, or if after 5 minutes, the yeast is just barely active, toss it out and go get some more. Are you making us dinner?

I just signed up for the monthly challenge and I cannot wait to try these. Pray for me 🤣

Haha! I'm so happy to hear that you signed up for the Bake Club and are going to make these rolls! I think you'll find that they're super easy. But, please let me know if you have any questions along the way! xo
