The November 2022 Bake Club Challenge Recipe is Pecan Pie!

Choose one of two Pecan Pie recipes for this month's challenge - Pecan Pie baked in a standard pie plate, OR Pecan Pie baked in a cast iron skillet.

Both recipes are similar in that neither one uses corn syrup. If you've never baked a pecan pie without corn syrup, I especially hope you'll take on this month's challenge!

Corn syrup adds sweetness but little flavor to a pecan pie. Replacing corn syrup with maple syrup or sorgum syrup results in a much more flavorful pie!

And, just to make pecan pie even more delicious, both recipes contain brown sugar and a touch of sour cream. The result is a creamy, rich filling that is not as sweet as a traditional pecan pie but about 100% more flavorful.
