Thank you to all of you who sent in photos of Cherry Crumb Pies! I baked the pie twice last month for two different small gatherings and just might make it again before the summer is over. Many of you sent comments about how much you love the crumb topping, which is my favorite part of that pie. So happy to hear that you liked it too.

This Almond Plum Cake is made from three of my favorite things - sweet plums, almond paste, and amaretto. The combination creates a custard like crumb that's so tender and creamy it's almost like a sliceable fruit cobbler.
