    January Bake Club Challenge

    Thank you to everyone who participated in last month’s Bake Club Challenge and sent in Christmas Cookie Pictures! Some of you baked several different cookies from the list and a few of you have truly impressive decorating skills. 😲 As always, I absolutely loved seeing all of your photos. It's difficult to communicate how much I enjoy connecting with all of you in the Bake Club. It was one of my favorite things about 2019 and I'm excited to continue the challenge in 2020.

    Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

    Lifting a freshly baked, homemade cinnamon roll from the pan.

    I know, I know. It's January and we're all supposed to be on a diet. And while I don't begrudge anyone their resolutions, it's still the dead of winter and January can really be the longest month. Around my house, we do tend to compensate for the holiday season's indulgences by cutting back on the sugar and eating a lot of vegetable based meals. But I can't get behind a winter month without at least some comfort food. 

    And, for me, a gooey. buttery cinnamon roll in the morning is exactly the thing I want to eat when it's cold and dreary outside but all warm and toasty inside. Also, we haven't done a yeast dough recipe as a bake club challenge yet, and these cinnamon rolls, with their optional overnight rise, are the perfect way to start.

If you’re selected as the winner, I’ll send you an email to let you know and ask you where to send your prize.
    2. Bake this month’s challenge and show it off! Snap a picture of your masterpiece and post it to Instagram, tagging it with #OfBatterAndDoughBakeClub. You can also upload your photo to the Of Batter and Dough Facebook Page. Or, send your photo to me in an email: rebecca@ofbatteranddough.com. By sharing your photo you’ll be automatically entered to win this month’s prize.  Bake the challenge recipe and submit your photo before February 1st.
