Fruit Cobbler Recipes

Cobblers get their name because the topping is dropped over the fruit filling in such a way that it resembles a cobblestone road. Cobbler topping can be similar to biscuit dough, or more like cake batter or cookie dough. Some cobblers are even more like a deep dish pie, with a top and bottom crust.

My favorite cobbler is the kind with a gooey, chewy, sugar cookie kind of topping. The topping is incredibly easy to make and creates a buttery crust over the fruit as it bakes with slightly crispy, chewy edges. Eaten while still warm from the oven, fruit cobbler is the very definition of comfort food.

Hello! I'm Rebecca Blackwell, writer, recipe developer, and food photographer. My husband and I are nomads without a home base but with many modes of transportation, namely an RV, a motorcycle, and a sailboat.

While I have cooked professionally, I am a home cook and baker who writes recipes for other home cooks and bakers. My home happens to have wheels, and occasionally sails, which should tell you that if the recipes work in my tiny kitchen, they will certainly work in yours.
